Student Requirements
Students must be members of and faithful attenders of an orthodox, Protestant evangelical church. They must adhere to the code of conduct (ethics) and the college’s statement of faith (doctrine).
New Aberdeen does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, or any other school-administered programs.
Required Documentation
1. Completed application form and fee
This form provides the College with basic personal information. You will be required to answer two brief essays about your faith and perspective on classical education.
The $25 application fee may be mailed or paid via Stripe. Upon enrollment, this fee is credited toward admissions.
The College recommends that students confirm enrollment by National Candidates Reply Date (May 1). The application fee increases to $35 after May 1.
2. Transcripts
All high school transcripts from all schools attended, through completion of junior year. Upon acceptance, all transcripts from all schools (including other colleges) must be received. The successful completion of senior year in high school is required for admittance. You may upload transcripts here or mail hard copies directly to the College.
3. Test scores for the standardized tests
4. Pastoral Reference Letter
Pastoral reference letter with a brief survey that addresses spiritual maturity from a pastor, elder, or other non-family member in spiritual oversight. The letter should address such issues as Christian character, church involvement, and potential for success at college.
5. Interview
Once the College receives the other required admissions materials, the Admissions Committee interviews all prospective students who meet the academic criteria. We prefer to interview in person, but out-of-town students may opt for a live, online interview if necessary.
