New Aberdeen College theology instructor, Matt Marino, is offering the New Aberdeen College community a free, thirteen-week apologetics class.
This class will prepare the student to defend the Christian faith from a classical perspective. The course will begin by defining apologetics and defending its use, showing why the classical method is to be preferred, and then laying some groundwork concerning truth, logic, and worldviews.
We will then explore such topics as philosophical arguments for the existence of God, agnosticism, the problem of evil, the fulfilled prophecies of Jesus, the evidence for the resurrection, moral relativism, Islam, and the modern challenges of higher criticism’s assault on Scripture and naturalism’s monopolization of science.
Our goal is to build our own confidence in Christian truth as well as to be “prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15).
What’s required of participants?
Each week, watch a recorded lesson (usually about 55 minutes long). Then, complete a quiz on the lesson’s main points, after which Rev. Marino will provide personalized feedback. Once you complete twelve videos and quizzes, New Aberdeen will provide a certification of completion.
This course is brought to you by The Reformed Classicalist in conjunction with Grace ARP Church in Winter Springs, Florida.
Note: Youtube videos are posted online for the public, but the class videos are ad-free.
